If you are new to goats or thinking about wanting goats to provide your family with a fresh source of milk, join us in the barn during morning chores to learn how to properly milk a goat. This will be about a 90 minute class where we'll cover...
1. Equipment needed
3. Teat & Udder Health
4. Milking Technique
5. Sanitation Procedures
6. Milk Filtration
Class size is limited to 8 people to ensure everyone gets enough time to milk and ask questions!
Due to Covid-19, all participants must wear a mask. We will practice social distancing the best we can and a hand-washing station will be provided. We also recommend wearing boots or shoes you don't mind getting messy. This is a farm, there is poop and, if it rains, there will be mud. Plan to arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your start time but no earlier, please as previous sessions will be letting out.
Liz and Aaron started Syman Says Farms in 2012 with a small herd of 4 dairy goats. Throughout the years they have shared their goats and knowledge with the community through 4H, girl scouts, preschool classes and now YouTube!
